The museum is based on the personal stories and donations from veterans who have visited the museum. The collection includes uniforms, field equipment, rations, medical items and personnel items.

The Liberators Museum is located in Arromanches where shortly after D-Day the Allies built the artificial Mulberry harbour to facilitate the offloading of supplies for the Invasion of Normandy.
