    Earls Colne.1stLieuts. Millar and Barclay returned to this unit having forced landed at
    TILBURG. They were looked after by the Dutch Underground movement who
    arranged their escape to England. Forced landed whilst taking part in
    Operation "MARKET".
    Earls Colne.2ndNormal procedure and routine.
    Conversion Course for second pilots ended successfully. 7 Pilots
    completed course. Sgts. Cole, Crone, DeRungary, Cooper, Foster, Walton
    and Orford. They were all promoted to S/Sgts.
    Colonel Chatterton's visit to "B" Squadron cancelled.
    Earls Colne.3rdLieuts. Horrocks, Norman and Cox, and S.S.M. Watt proceeded on Leave
    pending posting to INDIA. Capts. Tait and Palmer posted, rejoined
    their previous units.
    Earls Colne.4thNormal Routine. Court of Inquiry held at "B" Squadron to investigate
    loss of Escape purses by No. 1 Wing.
    Earls Colne.5th1 N.C.O. previously reported "missing" now officially P.O.W. S/Sgt Voller.

    10 Officers and 10 N.C.O's. - R.A.F. Glider Pilots posted to Station and
    attached to "B" Squadron.
    Earls Colne.29thTiger Moth flying. Horsa Cross Country, and Course personnel flying.
    S/Sgt. Startup F. killed in flying accident in Halifax, near Bury St Edmunds.
