    20th.Bn warned to prepare for move to Continent.
    22nd.Bn (less R Coy) left BULFORD en route to Continent. Major J Rogers
    appointed A/Brigadier of 6 Airldg Bde residues. Capt. W.A.R. Wright
    appointed acting C.O. 12 DEVON residues.
    22/23 (night.)Rail party spent night at Transit Camp, Old Park Bks, DOVER.
    23rd.Str return of Officers and O.Rs rendered to GHQ, 2nd Ech.by residue
    23rd.Road Party (Major P .R. Dobbin in comd) embarked at TILBURY.
    Rail Party embarked at DOVER and disembarked at CALAIS.
    23/24th.Road Party spent night in LCTs. Rail Party stayed at camp near
    CALAIS.
    24th.Road and Rail Parties proceeded independantly to WAEREGHEM where
    they spent the night.
    25th.Bn moved to DINANT.
    26th.Bn took up posns in area DINANT. Map sheet 1/50,000 Nos 90 & 91.
    A Coy at 106888. B Coy 017887. C Coy 102877. D Coy 986881. Adv
    Bn HQ 104874. Rear Bn HQ 991881.
    D Coy sent out anti-parachute patrols during day but no contact
    with enemy was made.
    27th.Lt Box with Section of Recce Pl reported BOIS DE GAUVELANT, BOIS
    COREUX and BOIS DES PRIESSES clear of enemy.
    28th.Anti para patrols from D Coy had nothing to report.

    DINANT.28th.Recce Pl patrol on jeeps sent to area BOIS DE GEAUVELANT 0686 and
    CELLES 0584. No contact made with enemy. Contact est with Americans.
    29th.Anti para patrols from D Coy - nothing to report.
    Recce Pl patrol - nothing to report.
    D Coy left area of Br at DINANT and took up posns at SORRINE
    0388
    Rear Bn HQ moved fwd and joined Adv HQ at 104874.
    31st.Situation normal.
