    to 76 AA Bde HQ. The unit was deployed as follows. RHQ along a hedge

    10Remaining 6 guns from "A" gps sailed from TILBURY.
    11The 5 guns from 318 Bty plus 3 guns from "C" Tp 303 Bty moved to
    defend PORT-EN-BESSIN.
    60 rds were fired by "B" Tp on ground targets on the village of HOTTOT.

    142330REME W/shop A Gp landed under shell fire in a thick smoke screen and into
    between 7 ft and 8 ft of water. Most vehicles drowned but all were brought
    ashore. One 4 X 4 Bedford 3-ton G.S. truck was driven through 7'6" of
    water with the hand-throttle full open and the driver sitting on the cab.
    160045A Category I claim was put in for a Ju 88 engaged by 'D' Tp. One Motor-
    cyclist admitted to hospital and struck off strength.
    180240Category I claim was put in for an unidentified target engaged by 'C' Tp.
    200355Category I claim was put in for an unidentified target engaged by 'B' Tp.
    202359Up to this time the rounds fired by the Regt were (a) in the AA role -
    3467 (b) Ground role percussion - 1627 (c) Ground role airbursts - 321.
    210155A Category I claim was put in for a Ju 88 engaged by 'F' Tp.
    210159A Category I claim was put in for a Ju 88 engaged by 'E' Tp & 'B' TP.
