2nd Battalion Monument, Lebisey

A memorial to the members of the 2nd Battalion who liberated Bieville - Beuville and immediately attacked at Lebisey on the afternoon of 6th June 1944.

Pendant ce temps la les obus allemands pleuvent mais
les Anglais ne s'arretent pas. Je les vois ayant depasse
le vallon, monter vers Lebisey Ils n'ont pas d'appui
aerien, ni d'arrillerie, un seul char sur le coteau sur
l'autre cote du marais. Ils sont refouils haches par les
mirrailleuses et les canons installes dans la tranchee
antichars. Les morts resteront la fusqu au 9 juillet.
