Ardenne Abbey Memorial to murdered Canadian POWs

On the 7th & 8th June 1944 a total of 18 Canadian prisoners of war were murdered at Abbey Ardenne by the 25th Panzer Grenadier Regiment who were commanded by Kurt Meyer. A further 2 Canadian soldiers are thought to have been killed near the Abbey.

There is now a memorial garden to the murdered Canadian POWs located down a short passageway between metal railings and a wall containing several plaques to the massacre.
