The Beny-sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery contains the remains of 2,048 soldiers, the majority are Canadian, 4 are British and 1 is French, 19 are unidentified. Many of the soldiers buried here are from the 3rd Canadian Division who died on the 6th of June or on the early advance towards Caen.
