The museum is mainly dedicated to the 1st US Infantry Division, The Big Red One who landed on Omaha beach on D-Day. The museum located in Colleville-sur-Mer near the entrance to the American Normandy Cemetery.
The Overlord museum is located near Omaha Beach on the D514 roundabout leading to the American Normandy Cemetery at Colleville-sur-mer. The museum is visible from the roundabout along with three tanks which line the road leading to the museum including a Sherman and a T-10.
A memorial to the officers and men of the first US infantry division who were killed fighting for the liberation of the world.
