A memorial to the crews of 5 C-47 Dakota planes that crashed near Picauville after being hit by flak early in the morning on D-Day, 6th June 1944
The memorial also has a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 engine which belong to one of the C-47s which crashed just to the north of the memorial.
The memorial is located opposite the church in the corner of the car park.
