Ranville Churchyard contains 47 Commonwealth burials, one of which is unidentified and an identified German grave.
The Commonwealth graves include Lieutenant Herbert Denham Brotheridge of the 2nd Battalion, Oxf & Bucks Light Infantry who was the first Allied soldier killed in action on D-Day during the Coup de Main attack on Pegasus bridge. Lieutenant Brotheridge was shot in the neck by a German machine gun while storming across the bridge .
The church its self has a stained glass window commemorating the 6th Airborne Division.
