Royal Canadian Air Force Pilot Memorial, Le Mesnil-Villement
A memorial to four pilots of the Royal Canadian Air Force who were shot down on the 12th August 1944 while attacking the bridge at Le Mesnil-Villement in their Hawker Typhoon fighter-bombers.
The bridge over the Orne at Le Mesnil-Villement was bombed in order to prevent it being used by the Germans to escape from the closing Falaise pocket.

F/Lt T.A. Bugg, F/O J.F. Dewar and F/O E.J. Allen are buried in Normandy at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery. F/O R.O Moen is commemorated at the Air Forces Memorial, Runnymede.
