A memorial to four pilots of the Royal Canadian Air Force who were shot down on the 12th August 1944 while attacking the bridge at Le Mesnil-Villement in their Hawker Typhoon fighter-bombers.

The bridge over the Orne at Le Mesnil-Villement was bombed in order to prevent it being used by the Germans to escape from the closing Falaise pocket.
