This memorial in Anisy, Normandy commemorates members of the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada who were killed on June 6th, 1944, during the Normandy landings. It marks their role in capturing and securing Anisy, one of the unit’s assigned D-Day objectives. The plaque was unveiled on June 6th, 1994, to mark the 50th anniversary of D-Day.
