This plaque commemorates the inauguration of Rue Bill Ross on 4 June 2017, held as part of the 73rd anniversary of the D-Day landings. The ceremony was led by Vincent Ferrier, Sous-Préfet of Bayeux, in the presence of members of the Ross family and representatives from the Canadian and French communities.
The street is named in honour of Bill Ross, a veteran of the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, who took part in the D-Day landings and the liberation of Anguerny.
