The August 1944 war diary of 241 Provost Company records continued traffic control and patrol duties along the Normandy beaches, particularly around Ouistreham, where intermittent shelling persisted. A beach curfew was introduced and patrols intensified. Mid-month, the unit relocated to Caen, taking over responsibilities from 245 HQ Provost Company and establishing new traffic posts and disciplinary patrols.
