War Diary: 241 Provost Coy

Month and year: January 1944

The January 1944 war diary of 241 Provost Company records its move from Ayr to Spey Bay in Morayshire, Scotland, where it joined 5 Beach Group for training and preparation. The month included inspections, staff conferences, and specialist training courses while new command arrangements were implemented. Preparations were also made for the forthcoming Exercise Crown.

15 O.C. visited A.P.M. 3 Br. Inf. Div at Inverness. D.A.Q.M.G. Scottish Cmd visited
Company on unofficial visit.
17 1800 Lieut. Glen and Lieut. Beard returned from leave.
0900 - A.P.M. 3 Br. Inf. Div visited Company to inspect administration and
1700 supervise handing over of Company to Capt. Pearson.
