    CHARING1-10.The first 10 days of the month were spent in cleaning up the sqn areas
    and repairing where necessary, and in cleaning and repainting
    Tanks and vehicles.
    13Bn signal Exercise
    17Lecture at Bde on signal security
    18-19Regimental Lieut Colonel and Regimental Adjutant visited the Bn.
    19TEWT for all Bn staff officers and O.C. Sqns on a sandtable
    19Major JEB Pope posted away from the Bn before proceeding to
    join the 3rd Bn. Everyone was very sorry to lose him.
    21-31.1 Troop per Sqn went down to the Stone Street Training area to
    do Troop training.
    23-24Bde signal Exercise SLASHER
    24The Major General Commanding Brigade of Guards visited the Bn.
    28The Bde Cmd gave a lecture to all officers and sgts of the
    coming operations.

    30The Bde took part in a religious service in Canterbury Cathedral
    The Archbishop of York preached the sermon. After the service the
    Bde marched past the Bde Commander.
    8 young??? officers were attached to the Bn for the last fortnight of
    the Month to learn about the roles of a Tank Bn and to gain
    experience in Regimental Soldering.
