5th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment War Diary: February 1944
During February 5th Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment trained at Lowestoft, including a two-day exercise featuring a lecture by General Montgomery. On the 23rd the unit paraded for a visit by the King before an advance party left for Inveraray; the battalion followed on the 27th, arriving at the Combined Training Centre on the 28th.
