(vii) It was afternoon by the time 'A' Coy had thoroughly cleared the enemy out of the beach defences of LE HAMEL. Here an AVRE in sp proved very useful in blasting individual enemy out of the massive concrete positions and corridors along the coast.
(viii). During the afternoon a patrol was sent along the rd to BUHOT 8684 to find out if the high ground in this area was occupied. This patrol came across opposition at x roads 863854. It was decided not to deal with this that day but to con on taking up good def positions before dark.
(ix) The final positions for night new saw Coy at radio loco Stn on high groundover looking ARROMANCHE - 'C' and 'D' Coys with Bn H.Q. in area of St COME DE FRESNE 8686 - 'B' Coy round LE HAMEL and ASNELLES-SUR-MER.
(x) At dawn on D plus 1 ARROMANCHE - TRACY-SUR-MER - MARVIOUX were captured. About 20 prisoners were captured without a fight.
(xi) BUHOT was captured later in the day by two Coys after a certain amount of opposition.
