Appendix 'B‘ Continued.

If future operations envisage any such long moves, time will be required to fit the Bn once again for forced marches. This, however, takes up time and guidance will be appreciated in due course as to whether time is to be devoted to this aspect of training.

(b) It is considered that the training carried out at BULFORD was essentially on the right lines and has been of the greatest assistance during the recent fighting.

APPENDIX 'C' Comments on period spent in Transit Camps.

Since the bulk of this unit was in a Transit Camp for seaborne troops, little can be said in connection with the terms of reference of the Brigade letter. The administrative arrangements of the Camp staff were of the highest order and nothing was overlooked.

As far as the airborne element was concerned, it is considered necessary, as was actually done to allow for additional transport for administrative purposes after all operational transport had been loaded.
