5. METHOD
General plan
The attack will be carried out in six stages - speed is vital, consequently the general principle will be that any enemy holding out will be by-passed and mopped up later.

ASNELLES - RYES - FONTENAILLES-LONGUES.
STAGE I
Land on "JIG GREEN WESTERN and reorganise in Bn assembly area 877860.
STAGE II
Capture RYES 8483.
STAGE III
Capture LA ROSIERE 8284 and high ground 8184.
STAGE IV
Capture ring contour 8086 and FONTENAILLES.
STAGE V
Capture LONGUES 7986 and enemy strong pt 7987.
STAGE VI
Reorganising on line LONGUES - High ground 8184 - LA ROSIERE.
STAGE I
6 Land on "JIG GREEN WESTERN' and reorganise in BN Assembly area 877860.
7. Fwd Coys;Right 'A' Coy and att tps
Left 'B' Coy and att tps
8. Res Coys; Right 'D' Coy and att tps
Left 'C' Coy and att tps.
9. Objective; Bn assembly area 877860.
10. Order of landing;
See landing table already issued.
11. Axis of adv; Cross Rds 878865 - Cross rds 877862.
12. 'A' and 'B' Coys will be prepared to carry out an assault lag if landed on different beach.
13. Bn Recce Off'r will allot Bn assembly area to Coys.
14. Local defence Bn assembly area 'B' Coy.
