(f) Arrows directional. These will be metal plated (9" x 9") with a red arrow on a white background. They will be used on the internal circuit in the BMA.

(g) Metal plate with a red arrow on a white background. These arrows will be used in conjunction with metal plates.

3. Fixing Arrows on Signs

The small Red on White Arrow will be fixed to the metal plate with a double wire ring as follows:-

(a) By Day Arrows pointing to left or right, above and clear of the centre of the plate. Arrows pointing straight on, to the right and clear of the centre of the side of the plate.

(b) By Night Arrows pointing to left or right, at the centre of and ON the bottom of the plate. Arrows pointing straight on, as for day, but ON instead of clear of the plate. Thus, arrows will come into the limited beam of the Guard's Lamp.

4. Marking of Beach Exits

In addition to the normal metal plate signs, all Beach Exits will be marked with coloured windsocks as follows:-

(a) Tracked Exit - Black/White/Black.
(b) Wheeled Exit - Dark Blue
(c) DUKW Exit - Yellow/Light Blue/Yellow.

5. To avoid confusion these will be the only windsocks flown on the Beaches. Beach Signal Offices will be marked with Signal Flags.

6. Difference in Signing

(d) All metal plates are 24" x 18"The standard is used (30" x 18") or improvised.
